A Busy Year Ahead: Starting with Great News
We are kicking off a busy year with great news! Today, we received the results of the open call for proposals to support public tasks in the City of Reda for 2026 in the field of addiction prevention. By the decision of the Mayor of Reda, our proposal, "Echo of Relationships: Preventing Digital Addiction in the Era of Artificial Empathy," has been awarded funding of 79,800 PLN.
What does this mean in practice?
From March to November 2026, we will implement a comprehensive prevention program in Reda aimed at young people and their teachers. Our activities will cover five primary schools, reaching at least 1,200 students aged 12–15 and at least 50 teachers. We will conduct an intensive series of workshops to help young people better understand their emotions, the mechanisms of digital addiction, social media pressure, and the phenomenon of "artificial empathy"—emotional attachment to algorithms, bots, and virtual relationships.
For students, this means tangible support in building healthy boundaries between the online and offline worlds, developing empathy, self-awareness, and critical thinking skills regarding technology. For teachers, it provides concrete tools, knowledge, and strategies to more effectively respond to new educational and preventive challenges in the age of artificial intelligence.
For us, this project is more than just a series of workshops; it is an investment in relationships, the emotional well-being of young people, and conscious technology use—without fear-mongering, prohibitions, or moralizing, but rather with mindfulness, dialogue, and understanding.
