Fourth Day of Mobility in Croatia: Memory, AI, and Security
The fourth day of our ten-day educational mobility in Croatia, part of the Erasmus+ program, provided participants with a wealth of new skills. Our seniors are discovering that learning can be engaging and practical, while modern technologies are becoming increasingly accessible.
The day began with a cultural highlight: exploring the traditional Dalmatian 'klapa' singing, which is inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Participants then focused on developing core competencies, practicing reading comprehension through the jigsaw method and learning effective memorization techniques, including the creation of digital flashcards.
A key topic of the day was digital security. During the 'Voice that Lies' workshop, we discussed the risks associated with artificial intelligence used for voice cloning. Participants learned how to identify potential phone scams and how to react in situations requiring caution.
The day concluded with European education, focusing on the structure and functions of European Union institutions. All activities shared a common goal: supporting the independence of seniors and developing the skills needed in today's society.
