Echo of Relations: Finalizing Digital Balance Workshops in Reda
We have begun the final stage of our project, "Echo of Relations: Prevention of Digital Addiction in the Era of Artificial Empathy." Since September, we have been working intensively in Reda's primary schools, meeting with students in grades 6–8. The project aims to strengthen the skills that help young people navigate the world of new technologies safely and consciously.
We are currently conducting the fifth and final workshop in our series: "Disconnect to Truly Be: Prevention of Digital Overload." We do not tell young people that technology is bad or that they should give up their smartphones entirely. Instead, we talk about balance. We teach them to recognize when technology use stops being a conscious choice and becomes an automatic habit, and how to cope with FOMO and information overload.
During the workshops, students learn breathing techniques and mindfulness exercises, creating their own daily rituals for digital balance. Previous stages of the project covered topics such as the mechanisms of digital addiction, emotional attachment to AI, and the pressure of social media image. The entire process is designed to develop self-awareness and self-regulation skills.
The project is funded by the City of Reda as part of a public task grant for addiction prevention in 2026, with a total funding of 79,800.00 PLN.
